Well, I think we found paradise. And we got to spend four nights there!
I was unaware that golden sand beaches were going to be a thing that I just couldn’t get enough of.

We finished up with another night at Gentle Annie’s, which is another slice of heaven, and headed towards Abel Tasman. When Google says, “three hours,” it’s generally a bit closer to four, maybe even pushing five. We stopped at a nice little camp outside of Motueka where we could relax a bit by the ocean.

The next day was spent hiking around on our way to Takaka.

Some of the clearest water

And then with a fully stocked larder from the multiple produce stands, we braved the journey to the Golden Sands of the Abel Tasman National Park where we ended up taking a vacation from our trip.

We took some walks, paddled our boat, sat on the beach, had an adult beverage or six…it was a nice few days after being amazing by the scenery constantly for four weeks to take a hit of a break.
